Hello everyone! What a pleasure to meet you here at Crafts Ideas once again. I am happy to have so many good times here with you, to be able to share beautiful crafts and encourage you to continue creating. Have you found that piece you want to do so much? If not, tell me here in the comments that we are looking for you.
And if you’re looking for a project for this week, how about starting with Crochet Blocks and Blankets? Let’s learn a new technique, already well spread out there, but you may not know it yet. The corner to cornet, C2C, is a very popular technique that can be used to make blankets, scarves and many other pieces. As defined by Sarah Stearns, C2C stands for corner-to-corner crochet, a type of crochet pattern that’s worked diagonally from one corner to the opposite corner.
She even mentions that C2C works a little differently than standard crochet. As the name implies, you start at one corner and work back and forth in diagonal rows until you reach the opposite corner. The block is made up of three chains and three double crochets that work up in diagonal rows. You create little squares that connect and are worked in corner to corner.

A C2C crochet pattern’s most prominent feature is a grid of squares. This grid will help you identify where you are within the pattern and will let you know if there are any stitch or color changes that are needed. These grids are commonly worked from the bottom-right corner to the top-left corner. Checking the models that we separated, you will see the number of different models.

We can make simple blocks, textured, colorful and even with drawings. From them we can assemble blankets or many other pieces. If you want and have some yarn left over there, how about testing a c2c block? You don’t need a lot of material and you can already see the result of this technique. If you have difficulty, from this model in hand it is easier to create and imagine how it will look. Let’s start? Come crochet with us!
